Guwahati, August 10 (NKTV): As per a bulletin issued by the National Health Mission (NHM), Assam reported 1,120 fresh positive cases of Covid-19 along with 17 deaths. With this, the death toll has reached 5,404.
Of the fresh fatalities, three have been reported from Golaghat district, two each from Hojai, Kamrup Rural and Karimganj, and one each in Cachar, Darrang, Dhubri, Goalpara, Jorhat, Kamrup Metro, Nagaon and Sonitpur.
The Covid death rate is at 0.94 per cent presently.
Of the new cases, 197 were reported from Kamrup Metro.
The recovery rate in the state stands at 97.13 per cent.
Assam now has 9,749 active cases.
