Guwahati, June 09 (NKTV): At least 17 people have lost their lives and four seriously injured in a road accident in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The accident involved a bus carrying passengers from Unnao to Gujarat that collided with a tempo carrying local passengers. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the incident and announced ex-gratia of two lakh each for the deceased.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed grief at the loss of lives. The PM also announced ex-gratia of two lakh rupees each from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund while Rs 50,000 would be provided to those injured in the accident.
