18 Year-old Benla Kempra wins bronze in National Games

Benla Kemprai , aged 18 years of Tularam Raji, Haflong, daughter of Ramendra Kemprai and Enola Kemprai , student of HS Final brought laurels to the sporting fraternity by clinching Bronze medal in the 38th National Games, 2025 in Uttarakhand.

She created history by being youngest member of the Assam Taekwondo Team in the National Games. She begged medal in Taekwondo Group Poomsae Team event loosing to Arunachal Pradesh in Semi-Final.
Trained under the Supervision of Anuj K. Hagjer, Coach & General Secretary of Dima Hasao Taekwondo Association, the team have been preparing for the National Games for the past 3 months after their selection in Puducherry.

She has also been trained under- Harsha Singha (International Athlete of Team India) and Biva Bhusan Chakrabarty International Referee of Taekwondo Poomsae.

The People of Dima Hasao are overjoyed by this news of their daughter creating the district name in the Sports Arena .

With a guiding leadership under EM Smt Probita Johari, Dept. of Sports and Youth Affairs, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, the Taekwondo Players has finally been able to achieve in Indias most premier Sports Event.
