24 hours, 12 Covid-related deaths at GMCH
Guwahati, June 29 (NKTV): A total of 12 patients have succumbed to Covid-19 at the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in the last 24 hours. The same has been confirmed by GMCH Superintendent Dr Abhijit Sarma.
Dr Sarma clarified that the deceased were critical patients and they did not die suddenly. The Superintendent further informed that of the deceased, nine were in ICU while the other three were in Ward.
Sarma also stated that none of the cases were vaccinated for Covid-19. “Their saturation levels were less then 90% on arrival at GMCH” Dr Sarma said.
Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta too visited the GMCH to take stock of the situation.
