2nd GSA Youth and Kids League 2024 kicked off at the Iconic Judge’s Field, Guwahati.The league is being organised by Guwahati Sports Association in association with North East United FC( NEUFC) with a vision to provide the youths of Guwahati and Assam a platform to showcase their football talents.
On the opening day a total of matches were scheduled under the age group featuring around 60 teams across five age categories U-7, U-9, U -11,U-13 and U-15.The witnessed the participation of over 450 players resulting in an impressive 80 players contributing to over 175 goals
With 1500 young and and aspiring footballers across 102 teams will grace the field in the coming weeks
The GSA Youth and Kids League is being touted to be a vibrant celebration of grassroots football development.
The U-17 league matches will be held at Nehru Stadium, Guwahati
Earlier in opening ceremony of the league Sri Pranoy Bordoloi Eminent Journalist was present as Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the League while Sri Pabitra Gogoi Eminent Journalist,Sri Bibekananda Das IPS officer Retd and Sri Mukutananda Bhattacharyya Vice President Assam Football Association was present as Guest of honour
Sri Paresh Chandra Das President GSA, Sri Devajit Saikia Hony General Secretary GSA,Sri Badal Dey Vice President GSA ,Sri Amiya Kumar Kalita Treasurer GSA,Sri Kajal Paul Choudhury Joint Secretary GSA were also present on the occasion
