Guwahati, July 23 (NKTV): At least 486 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the tally in the state to 44,708, a health department official said on Friday.
The death toll rose to 208 after four persons, including two women, succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours, State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa said.
The Capital Complex Region registered the highest number of fresh cases at 144, followed by Papumpare (41), Lower Subansiri (35), West Siang (34), Lohit (30), West Kameng (29), Upper Subansiri (19) and East Siang, Namsai and Tawang (18 each).
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients in the state stands at 89.70 percent.
Arunachal Pradesh now has 4,398 active cases.
Meanwhile, the state government has decided to extend curfew hours in nine districts that have recorded coronavirus positivity rates of more than 10 per cent in the past week.
