After successfully conducting the previous editions of the Assam Premier club championship, Assam cricket Association is going to conduct the 4th Assam Premier Club Championship (APCC) 2021-22 from November 24, 2021. The mega tournament will be played in the following three stages:
1) First Round: District/Sub Division/University level matches in the local area. Time Frame: 24.11.2021 to 31.12.2021. One Team from each unit will qualify for the Zonal League.
2) Second Round: Zonal level matches in 2 venues within the zone (venue to be announced later). Time Frame : 28.01.2022 to 15.02.2022. The top Two Teams from each zone will qualify for the Final Round.
3) Final Round: Top 12 teams from 6 zones (Venue to be announced later). Time Frame: 10.03.2022 to 10.04.2022.
The APCC will carry a total prize money worth Rs. 75 Lakhs, the apportionment of which will be as under :
Champion: Rs.10,00,000.00
Runner-Up: Rs.5,00,000.00
Losing Semi Finalists: Rs 2,00,000.00 each
Zonal Champion: Rs. 1,50,000.00 each
Zonal Runners-Up: Rs. 1,00,000.00 each
District Champion: Rs. 1,00,000.00 each
The ultimate and grand objective of the Assam Cricket Association behind organizing APCC is to promote club cricket and scout fresh cricketing talent in every nook and corner of the state. lt is worth stating that this inter-club tournament is a major one for the purpose of selection of State teams in various categories.
