63% of Assam’s population has Aadhaar Cards

Guwahati, July 13 (NKTV): 63 per cent Aadhaar card has been generated in the state of Assam so far. General Administration Department Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass has informed the assembly in a written answer today.

The Minister said that all the Deputy Commissioners have been directed to complete the process of Aadhaar generation by August 31 this year.

Dass informed that over 2 crore 25 lakh people have got Aadhaar cards in Assam so far while nearly 1 crore 31 lakh population are yet to get the same. The minister further said that there are 1,241 Aadhar registration centres operating across the state.
