65 candidates file nomination papers for 2nd phase of Lok Sabha polls in Assam

In Assam, 65 candidates have filed nomination papers for the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections. Five seats will be covered in this phase.

Scrutiny of nomination will be held today, April 5. Assam Transport and Excise Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, MP Kripanath Mallah and Dilip Saikia are in the fray for the BJP. Congress has re-nominated MP Pradyut Bordoloi from the Nagaon seat while Bodoland People’s Front has given a ticket to MLA Durga Das Boro in the second phase.

AIUDF and TMC have also fielded candidates in the second phase of polls.
