The final round of the Assam Premier Club Championship (APCC), organised by the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) and hosted by the Guwahati Sports Association (GSA), is set to commence at the historic Judges’ Field on March 18. The tournament, which will continue until April 6, will feature 12 teams competing in a 40-over-a-side format. The matches will be played with white ball.
The participating teams have been divided into four groups. Group A comprises Cricket Club of Dibrugarh, Rangia Cricket Academy, and Biswanath Blue Warriors. Group B includes Tengapara Cricket Club, Dhemaji Cricket Academy, and Nambor Club. Group C features Itkhola A.C., Star Sporting Club, and Bud Cricket Club, while Group D consists of Rising Club, Triranga C.C.C., and Tinsukia Town Club.
The championship will open with a clash between the Cricket Club of Dibrugarh and Rangia Cricket Academy on 18 March at 9.00 am. The opening ceremony will start at 8.30 am.
The semifinals are scheduled for April 3 and 4, with the grand final to be played on April 6.
Former First-Class cricketer Samarjit D. Neog will be the Chief Guest and will inaugurate the tournament.
