RR and DC wins their matches in IPL

Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) won their respective matches in two double headers on Sunday. Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 55 runs and Delhi Capitals beat Punjab Kings (PKBS) by 7 wickets.

In the first match, SRH won the toss and decided to field first but RR opener Jos Buttler’s destructive innings of 124 runs in just 64 balls helped RR get to a score of 220 in 20 overs. For SRH, Rashid Khan, Vijay Shankar and Sandeep Sharma took 1 wicket each.

Chasing the mammoth target, SRH could only manage to score 165 runs in their 20 overs. Manish Pandey scored the highest of 31 runs for SRH. For RR, Mustafizur Rahman and Chris Morris both scapled 3 wickets each which helped their team defeat SRH by 55 runs. Jos Buttler, for his innings, was awarded the man of the match.

In the second match, DC defeated PKBS by 7 wickets in Ahmedabad. Winning the toss, DC decided to field first and with the incisive bowling of Rabada and Avesh Khan, managed to restrict PKBS for just 166 runs. However, stand-in captain of Punjab, Mayank Agarwal, played an outstanding innings of 99 runs for PKBS.

Chasing a target of 167, with help of Shikhar Dhawan’s 69 runs not out, DC won the match easily. Dhawan, for his innings, was awarded the man of the match.
