Three arrested in Kokrajhar for smuggling PDS rice
The Dotma police on Saturday arrested three PDS free rice smugglers and seized 245 bags of rice, late at night at Dotma Bazar in Kokrajhar district. The PDS rice was seized during the search operation against the illegally trading of PDS free rice which was meant for common masses in the Dotma area.
The arrested were identified as Dayal Saha (24) of Kumargram, Sattam Saha (46) of Dotma Bazar, Gautam Saha (37) of Dotma Bazar. An FIR was lodged with Dotma police, registration number 41/2021, under section 379/411/RW section 7 of EC Act.
