Nagaon Encounter: Police Personnel involved sent to Reserve with immediate effect
In a sensational incident, a student leader was injured after Nagaon Police fired on him for allegedly taking drugs. The injured student leader has been identified as Kriti Kamal Bora and he was shot by the Anti-Narcotics squad of the Nagaon Police. The student leader who was shot in the leg initially was admitted to a nearby Civil Hospital in Nagaon but was later sent to GMCH for better treatment on Saturday night.
According to Nagaon SP, the Police fired on the student leader as he was suspected of consuming drugs. After the incident family members of Kriti Kamal Bora indulged in a heated conversation with Police in the hospital. The locals and the family members have demanded strict actions against SP Anand Mishra and the Nagaon Police.
However, on Sunday the Assam Police have sent the Police Personnel involved in the shooting incident to Police Reserve with immediate effect.
