Assam Cricket Association will host the 1st lnter-District Women’s Cricket Championship, 2022 for Kanaklata Baruah Trophy, to be played in Guwahati from February 7, 2022 to February 21, 2022.
The first-of-its-kind tournament, organised with a broader objective of promoting women’s cricket in Assam, will be played in a 30-over format, and would witness 18 teams from different districts of the state clash against each other to lift the much-coveted trophy.
Following are the participating teams, which have been divided into 4 groups –
Group A – Lakhimpur, Tezpur, Guwahati, Dhemaji and Dibrugarh.
Group B – N.F. Railway, Jorhat, Hojai, Karimganj and Mangaldai.
Group C – Silchar, Dhubri, Nowgong and Biswanath.
Group D – Hailakandi, Nalbari, Bokakhat and Morigaon.
