Prime accused in Guwahati gang-rape case shot at during encounter while ‘trying to flee’

The prime accused in Guwahati gang-rape case was allegedly shot at during an encounter with the Assam Police. He was identified as Biki Ali. According to reports, Ali was immediately shifted to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).

Ali reportedly sustained four bullet injuries in the police firing incident. The accused was arrested by the police on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, four other accused in the case – Faijul Ali, Raja Ali, Poona Ali, and Pinku Ali are still absconding.
