WhatsApp files lawsuit against Indian Government in Delhi High Court
Popular messaging app WhatsApp has filed a lawsuit in the Delhi High Court against the government of India for blocking the new rules and regulations given by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. According to the Facebook based unit the new rules will break their end to end privacy protection policies.
The Intermediary guidelines and digital media ethics Code, given by the ministry of information technology, designates “significant social media intermediaries” as standing to lose protection from lawsuits and criminal prosecution if they fail to adhere to the code.
