Cyclone Yaas makes landfall in Odisha, heavy rain lashes West Bengal
The Cyclone Yaas has made landfall on Wednesday at the state of Odisha has witnessed heavy rainfall with gusty winds. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said landfall process commenced around 9 am in the state. Gusty winds and heavy rains has hit Balasore, Bhadrak, Paradeep and Chandipur of Odisha.
Meanwhile, strong winds and heavy rainfall has lashed the state of West Bengal. The Airports Authority of India have shut down the Bhubaneswar airport will remain shut till 5 am on Thursday. Flight operations at Kolkata airport will be suspended from 8:30 am to 7:45 pm on Wednesday.
