He said the 100-bedded hospital at Sualkuchi on becoming operational shall be of great help in filling up of the healthcare services gap in the Jalukbari LAC area. In order to ensure doctors and nurses stay nearby the hospital, residential quarters shall be constructed for them in the vicinity of the hospital premises. He said the government aims to see that all modern healthcare facilities such as ultrasonography and CT scan are available at the hospital. He exuded confidence the infrastructure development of colleges shall usher in positive outcomes in the educational ecosystem in the legislative assembly constituency.
The Chief Minister said the construction works of the upcoming Sualkuchi Stadium is going on in full swing and that the government expects the same to be ready for inaugurated within this year itself. Construction activities of another stadium at Bongshor is also going ahead with full momentum, he added. The Chief Minister said when he became a member of legislative assembly (MLA) of the Jalukbari LAC for the first time in 2001, the socioeconomic scenario of the area provided a grim and shoddy picture. The Chief Minister expressed great happiness at the overall socioeconomic sphere of Jalukbari LAC in 2024 in comparison to the same two decades back. It is rare to see educational institutions such as AIIMS, National Forensic Science University, National Law University & Judicial Academy to be concentrated in a single LAC and that Jalukbari is an exception, he said. He stressed upon the need to have a 25-year development strategy for Jalukbari LAC.
The Chief Minister said under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation has managed to add many feathers to its hat. The nation possessing Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs), among others, can be attributed to the Prime Minister’s leadership, he added.
