Assam reports 5,704 new Covid-19 infections with 83 fatalities in the last 24 hours
The state of Assam on Thursday registered 5,704 new cases of coronavirus, pushing the active tally to 53,721 while, 83 fatalities have been recorded with a death rate of 0.79 per cent. The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases is 4.78 per cent and the overall count of the state has touched 3,92,574.
The recoveries have reached 3,34,418 with a recovery rate of 85.19 per cent. The highest caseloads today have been reported from Kamrup Metro (569), Dibrugah(528), Cachar (448), Nagaon (393), The District wise deaths are: Kamrup Metro (17), Barpeta (8), Cachar (8), Tinsukia (8), Dibrugarh (7), Jorhat (5), Kamrup R (4), Nagaon (3), Udalguri (3), Baksa(2), Bongaigaon(2), Dhubri (2), Golaghat (2), Morigaon (2), Sivasagar (2), Sonitpur (2), Biswanath (1), Goalpara (1), Hailakandi (1), Karbialong (1), South Salmara (1), Nalbari (1). 3,088 cured Patients were discharged. The recovery rate is 85.19%
