The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a second spell of heat wave over different parts of the country in the upcoming 4 days.
Akashvani Correspondent reports that these weather conditions will be prevalent as summer comes in full force in the nation.
The IMD has predicted that heat wave conditions will continue over parts of Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat today. Along the East coast, heat wave will prevail over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry till the 18th of this month, and over Odisha and West Bengal till the 20th of this month.
The weather agency added that hot and humid weather will prevail over Karnataka and Kerala today, over Gujarat till tomorrow, and over West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh during the next 4 days.
Meanwhile, the IMD anticipates light to moderate rainfall, snowfall, thunderstorms and lightning over North-East India and West Bengal till the 21st of this month. In West India, light rainfall with isolated thunderstorms and lightning will descend over Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat during the next 2 days.
The weather agency said that maximum temperatures will rise by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over Central, East and South India during the next 2 days, and by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over Maharashtra during the next 3 days. No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected over the rest of the country.
