Chelsea beats Manchester City 1-0 to clinch Champions League title

The Chelsea football club clinched the Champions League 2020-21 by defeating Manchester City 1-0 in an all-English final at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto of Portugal. Chelsea won the Champions League after a gap of nine years as they last won the prestigious trophy back in 2012.

In the final match German attacking midfielder Kai Havertz scored the only goal for Chelsea which helped the side to gain victory over Manchester City. With this victory this is the first Champions League title for Chelsea’s coach Thomas Tuchel in his career, just six months after joining the club.

Soon after the victory the Chelsea club changed its twitter handle name to ‘Champions of Europe’. Further the club also wrote “We’re the only team in London with TWO European Cups…’.
