Search Resumes For Passengers Of Bus That Fell Into Trishuli River At Simaltal

Teams of Nepali Army, Nepal Police and armed police personnel including deep divers are at the incident site where two buses with almost 60 passengers fell in Trishuli River has resumed the search for the second day. The families of those who have gone missing in the accident that led to two passenger buses plunging into the Trishuli river in Chitwan have demanded that the search for their loved ones be more effective by use of necessary technology and tools.

Two passenger buses including one heading to Gaur from Kathmandu and another going to Kathmandu from Birgunj were swept away by landslides into the Trishuli river on Friday morning at Simaltal, falling under Bharatpur metropolis.

Due to high flow and current of water in the river remained high and difficulty in finding the missing in muddy water at night , trained groups of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police have resumed rescue operation from today morning.

More than fifty families are suffering following the accident. Among the passengers who were in the fatal accident, three people have survived miraculously by swimming out of the flooded river.
