India to take on Sri Lanka in final of Women Asia Cup

In the Women’s Asia Cup T20 Cricket, defending champions India will take on hosts Sri Lanka in the final to be played at Dambulla in Sri Lanka this afternoon. The Indian side will aim to lift the title for the eighth time. India has maintained a dominant performance throughout the tournament with India’s top-order batters, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma in good form. Indian bowlers have shown their precision with Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh leading the wicket-takers of the tournament. 

Akashvani correspondent reports that defending champions India will look to continue their dominance in the Women’s Asia Cup to a record-extending eighth title as they take on hosts Sri Lanka in the final at Dambulla. India has shown superiority in batting and bowling in this tournament for continental supremacy. Meanwhile, Chamari Athapaththu led Sri Lanka has also maintained an unbeaten run and would like to give something for their fans to cheer. Earlier in the semifinals India had convincingly defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets while Sri Lanka had to overcome Pakistan in a spirited game.
