Following the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in a strike by Israeli Defence Forces, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning to Iran and asserted that those who target Israel will face consequences. He said no location in Iran or the Middle East is beyond Israel’s reach. Mr Netanyahu said, Israel settled accounts with someone who was responsible for the murders of countless Israelis and many nationals of other countries.

He emphasised that the killing of Hassan Nasrallah was crucial in achieving the goal of returning Israeli hostages. US President Joe Biden has said that Nasrallah’s death is a measure of justice for his many victims. He said, Hezbollah and its leader Nasrallah were responsible for killing Americans, Israelis, and Lebanese civilians over several decades. Mr Biden reaffirmed the US commitment to supporting Israel’s right to self-defence against threats from Hezbollah, Hamas and Houthis.
