Assam Coal Mine Tragedy: Rescue Efforts Intensify

Rescue operations are ongoing in full swing following a devastating coal mine collapse in the state. Tragically, several miners remain trapped underground after a massive influx of water flooded the illegal mine. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and renewed calls for stricter regulations on the state’s coal mining industry.  

The state government has deployed a large contingent of personnel, including disaster response teams and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), to assist in the rescue efforts. Heavy machinery is being used to clear debris and pump out the water, but progress has been slow due to the challenging conditions.  

The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire region, highlighting the precarious working conditions faced by many miners in the state.
