Heroin worth over ₹27 Lakh seized in Mizoram
Guwahati, June 06 (NKTV): The Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department along with Central YMA Vigilance Sub-Committee arrested one woman and seized 654 grams of heroin at Zokhawsang area in Aizawl district on Saturday.
The seized heroin was concealed in 54 soap cases and it is worth approximately Rs. 27.7 lakhs. Police suspect that the drug was smuggled from Myanmar.
The apprehended individual have been booked under relevant sections of “The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
