UP Warriorz have secured the services of young Australian batting sensation Georgia Voll as a replacement for Chamari Athapaththu for the remainder of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025. Athapaththu has exited the tournament to fulfill national commitments with Sri Lanka ahead of their New Zealand tour, which begins on March 4.

Voll joins the Warriorz squad for INR 30 lakh, bringing valuable depth as the team eyes a strong finish in the competition.

At just 21 years old, Voll has already made a mark on the international stage, including a century in her second ODI appearance. She has represented Australia across all three formats, featuring in three T20Is, three ODIs, and one Test match.

Before this stint, Voll showcased her talent in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), initially with Brisbane Heat and more recently with Sydney Thunder, where she delivered two impressive scores in the nineties. Her outstanding domestic performances also earned her the title of Women’s Domestic Player of the Year at the recent Cricket Australia awards.

With her impressive track record and potential, Voll’s inclusion is expected to bolster UP Warriorz’s batting lineup as they continue their campaign in WPL 2025.
