India rejects Pakistan’s ‘Baseless’ terrorism allegations

A day after Pakistan accused India of “sponsoring terrorism” in connection with the hijacking of the Jaffar Express by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), India strongly denied the claims, calling them “baseless” and urged Pakistan to focus on its own internal issues.

The Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement on Friday, dismissing Pakistan’s allegations and stating, “The whole world knows where the epicenter of global terrorism lies. Pakistan should look inwards instead of shifting the blame for its own internal problems and failures on others.”

Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson, Shafqat Ali Khan, had earlier suggested that the train attack, which lasted 30 hours and resulted in 21 hostages and four security personnel being killed, was orchestrated from abroad. While he did not directly name India, Khan pointed out that the BLA militants had been in contact with their handlers in Afghanistan during the siege.
