The Bihar Police took swift action on Sunday, removing Constable Deepak Kumar from his position as the bodyguard of RJD MLA Tej Pratap Yadav, following the circulation of a video showing him dancing in public on the MLA’s instructions.

A press release from the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, confirmed the move, stating that after the video went viral, an investigation was conducted. The video depicted Tej Pratap Yadav instructing Deepak Kumar, who was in uniform, to perform a dance during a Holi celebration at Yadav’s residence in Patna. The constable was reportedly threatened with suspension if he refused to comply.

In response, the police department issued orders to transfer Constable Kumar to another assignment, replacing him with a different officer as Yadav’s bodyguard.
