Assam Government Announces Major Administrative Reshuffle to Boost Governance Efficiency

In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at enhancing the efficiency of public service and governance, the Assam government has transferred several officials to new positions.

Madhu Sudan Nath, previously serving as the Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Higher Education Department, has been transferred and appointed as the Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Women & Child Development Department.

Partha Pratim Bairagi, Joint Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Transport Department, has been reassigned as Joint Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Women & Child Development Department.

Utpal Borah, the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad in Lakhimpur, has been appointed as Joint Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Administrative Reforms & Training, Pension & Public Grievances Department.

Anup Kumar Brahma, District Development Commissioner of Dibrugarh, will now serve as Joint Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Transformation & Development Department.

Manash Kumar Saikia, the Additional District Commissioner of Darrang, has been transferred to the position of Co-District Commissioner in Naduar, Sonitpur.

Raj Boruah, Co-District Commissioner of Naduar, Sonitpur, has been shifted to the position of Co-District Commissioner in Kaliabor, Nagaon.

Sauvik Bhuyan, Additional District Commissioner of Nagaon, has been appointed as the Additional District Commissioner of Darrang.

Magonjoy Thaosen, Sub-Divisional Officer (S) in Dibrugarh, will now serve as the Assistant Commissioner in Parbatjhora, Kokrajhar.

These transfers are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline operations and improve administrative effectiveness across the state.
