Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah has put an end to months of speculation by signing a new deal that will see him continue his remarkable journey at Anfield, extending his stay to a potential decade.

The 32-year-old Egyptian forward, who previously featured for Chelsea and Roma, joined Liverpool in 2017 and has since become one of the Premier League’s most iconic players. With his contract set to expire soon and transfer rumors swirling — including a reported £215 million bid from Saudi champions Al Ittihad — fans were unsure whether Salah would remain a Red.

On Friday, Liverpool confirmed that Salah had committed his future to the club, bringing relief and excitement to the fanbase.

“Of course, I’m very excited,” Salah said in the club’s official announcement. “We have a great team now. We had a great team before as well, but I’ve signed because I believe we can still win more trophies and I want to keep enjoying my football.”

Reflecting on his time at the club, Salah added, “These have been the best years of my career. I’ve loved every moment of my eight years here — hopefully it becomes ten. I feel at home.”
