Opium seized in Jagun, one arrested
Guwahati, June 24 (NKTV): As the War on Drugs continue in Assam, a team of Lekhapani and Jagun Police today conducted a joint operation and seized huge amount of Opium at Ahom Pathar area.
The operation was conducted today afternoon based on specific inputs.
The team apprehended on individual and seized a motorcycle along with two bags of opium. The apprehended individual has been identified as one Tej Bahadur Chhetri. The opium reportedly had arrived from Bordumsa in Arunachal Pradesh.
Bahadur is presently in police custody and interrogation is underway.
