Guwahati, July 23 (NKTV): As many as 42 children from Assam were rescued from Sikkim by Assam Police. It may be mentioned here that 80 children were trafficked from the state, of which 42 have been rescued. The traffickers had lured the parents with promise of education and a better life for the children.
The kingpin, identified as one Krishna Yogi, has been arrested by the police.
“Some kids have also been sent to Dubai, we have received this information” Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
