Shooter Avani Lekhara clinches gold medal at Tokyo Paralympics

Guwahati, August 30 (NKTV): Shooter Avani Lekhara scalped gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics in the Women’s R2 10m air rifle standing SH1. She has also equalled the world record in the same event. Avani Lekhara has also became the first Indian to secure a medal in shooting at the Tokyo Paralympics.

Lekhara won the gold medal with a total score of 249.6 in the final, equalling the world record. This is India’s fourth medal at the Tokyo Paralympic Games so far.
