AHSEC postpones Class XI boards, decision for XII remains pending

The Assam Higher Secondary Board (AHSEC) has decided to postpone the class XI examinations that were scheduled for 4th May.

However, no such decision has been taken regarding the conduct of class XII boards that are scheduled from 11th May.

An official statement of AHSEC said that the board is currently waiting for the decision of the government. The Board’s spokesperson said, ” As the new government will be formed hopefully by 11th May, we will await their decision. AHSEC was Prepared to conduct the final exams in March this year, but the government intervened for postponement. So we will wait for further orders.”

As for the class XI batch, the board said that the exams had been postponed but not cancelled. It will be held whenever feasible.
