Guwahati, September 13 (NKTV): Six members of Employment Review Committee of the Assam Legislative Assembly led by it’s chairman Lawrence Islary visited at NTPC Salakati Kokrajhar, CIT Kokrajhar to make review over the employment opportunity generation and engagement in Kokrajhar today. The members are included Rupak Sarma (Nagaon),Sibu Mishra (Lumding),Suresh Phukan (Tinsukia), Prithiraj Rabha (Tejpur) and Jayanta Basumatary (Sidli).
The review committee have interacted with officials of NTPC authorities and took stock of the prevailing employment opportunity environment inside the plant. Presently, NTPC power plant is producing 3 x 250 MW power services. The committee team had also interacted with CIT officials during their visit.
The committee team will also held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner at DC office Kokrajhar where they will discuss over the employment generations across the district. The Employment Review Committee is regarded as first official visit from Assam Legislative Assembly since it’s inception.
