Assam archer Sanjay Boro aiming high for Paris Olympics

Guwahati, September 15 (NKTV): International Archer and newly joined Inspector of Excise department, Sanjay Boro said that he is fully preparing to achieve gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympic. Boro was recently appointed as inspector of excise by state government and posted in Kokrajhar in recognition of his good sports career and performance for the state.

Boro is now in Kokrajhar for two-day selection camp for 40th NTPC national senior archery championship (men and women) which will be held in Jamshedpur,Jharkhand scheduled on October 3-9 next. Speaking to NKTV he said “I am now preparing for the Paris Olympic to achieve a good performance. I wish to perform well in days to come”.

Meanwhile, nearly 200 archers are participating from different districts of the state in the national archery selection camp being begins from Wednesday with two programme scheduled held at KDSA ( Kokrajhar District Sports Association) ground in Kokrajhar. The selection camp was jointly organised by Archery Association of Assam (AAA) and Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA).

President of the KDSA Dhaneswar Goyary inaugurated the camp. The selection camp has conducted three categories of archery which are Arrow, Compound and Recurve.
