Abducted ONGC employee Ritul Saikia who could not be rescued till date is reportedly in the custody of banned outfit currently is in ULFA(I).
Special DGP of Assam Police, GP Singh in a press meet on 28th April said that Assam Police has information that Saikia is still in custody of ULFA.
GP Singh further added that Ritul Saikia is in a remote jungle of Mon district in Nagaland. Although security forces including Assam Rifles, Nagaland Police and Assam Police are confident of rescuing the ONGC employee and operation are being undertaken, ULFA has been urged to release him soon.
Earlier Police have found that one constable of the 25th AP(ONGC), Basanta Buragohain was actively involved in the abduction. Today it has been informed that Aisang Asom, the social media handler of ULFA(I) was in touch with Buragohain through Facebook.
