ACA holds Special General Body Meeting

The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) convened a Special General Body Meeting at the premises of ACA Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday. The meeting saw the attendance of representatives from all affiliated and playing member units.

Several key points like the formation of Standing and other Cricket Sub-Committees for the 2024-25 season and regarding the ongoing infrastructure projects and future plans of action were discussed during the meeting. Riyan Parag’s selection to the national team was also hailed.

The meeting was chaired by ACA President Taranga Gogoi, in the presence of Secretary Tridib Konwar, Vice President Rajdeep Oja, Treasurer Chiranjit Langthasa, Joint Secretary Rajendra Singh, and other Apex Council Members.

Taranga Gogoi highlighted the association’s commitment to enhancing the quality of umpires and coaches in the state. To achieve this, plans are underway to upgrade the skills of coaches & umpires from every district.

Secretary Tridib Konwar emphasized the association’s dedication to enhancing cricketing infrastructure in Assam, vowing that no effort will be spared in this pursuit.

The meeting concluded with a strong focus on future initiatives aimed at bolstering the cricketing landscape in the state.
