ACA signs MOU with Nalbari College for cricket development

Guwahati, September 6 (NKTV): Assam Cricket Association today inked an MOU with Nalbari College for developing cricket infrastructure in the latter’s playground situated in Nalbari.


After the execution of the MOU, it was exchanged between Romen Dutta, President of Assam Cricket Association and Dr. Kamal Nayan Patowary, Principal, Nalbari College in presence of Jayanta Malla Baruah, MLA of the Nalbari Legislative Assembly Constituency and other officials.


As per the terms of the MoU , Assam Cricket Association will develop a proper and standard cricket ground in the playground of Nalbari College wherein three centre wickets and two practice wickets would be built, besides improving the outfield, so as to enable it to host BCCI and ACA recognized tournaments and matches.

Further, the MOU states that Assam Cricket Association would invest both money and manpower for the development of the cricket ground, and in lieu of that, the College would allow Assam Cricket Association to utilise the cricket facilities thus developed, initially for 7 years, which may be extended later.

This exercise has been undertaken as part of Assam Cricket Association’s ambitious endeavour and project to develop more and more cricket infrastructure across the State to provide better cricket facilities to the budding cricketers including students of colleges and universities.
