Guwahati, September 12 (NKTV): Assam minister for Agriculture department Atul Bora has said that the state government has been stepping up to make uplift and development of the Mushroom products which are generating at Bodoland University in Kokrajhar.
On Saturday evening, minister Borah was visited at the Bodoland University Mushroom production lab which is being run under the Biotechnology department of Bodoland University. Bora was accompanied with BTR CEM Pramod Boro and interacted with department heads of mushroom Labs and vice-chancellor Prof Laishram Ladudingh during his visit.
Bora said that the Mushroom Lab is very lauded while producing mushrooms in a massive rate.He said that he will intimate to Chief Minister about growing up of mushroom Lab at Bodoland University and necessary marketing aspects would be initiated from state government in days to come.He is very happy with the noble initiated by Bodoland University authorities.
BTR CEM Pramod Boro said that the BTR administration is taking up bold initiative to make proper growths and development of the mushroom Lab and council administration is providing necessary funds for the Lab.
Earlier, minister Bora held a review meeting with senior officials of Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary at BTC Secretariat conference hall to make review over the schemes and projects implementation across the BTR administration which are funding from centre and state government.
He has opined that there are lots of scopes to develop anything like other states, for producing self-sufficient livelihood food items and for solving unemployment problem through the departments in Bodoland Territorial Region.
He informed that all the gazette post of Veterinary department lying vacant will be filled up within two months and also non gazette post like Grade III & IV will be filled
up by the BTC authority which are approved by Government of Assam. The departmental officials have also been shown some presentation by the respective departments which had gained attractive towards the departmental activities.
