Arunachal | Army truck skids into gorge, one jawan dead

Guwahati, July 15 (NKTV): An Army truck skidded off road and fell into a gorge between Pango and Palsi under Tuting sub-division in Upper Siang district today morning. A jawan of the 4th Sikh Light Infantry (Sikh LI) Regiment died and seven others were seriously injured.

The deceased has been identified as Sepoy Jasman Singh. His body was later taken to Rayang Military Station.

The Army truck was carrying 11 soldiers when it met with the accident, an official informed.

Tuting ADC Starlie Jamoh informed that four critically injured jawans were evacuated by an Army helicopter. One of them was admitted at Dinjan Army Base Hospital in Assam’s Tinsukia, while three others were taken to the Army Base Hospital in Guwahati.
