Arunachal | Prisoners use chilli powder to escape
Guwahati, July 12 (NKTV): In a bizarre incident, seven undertrial prisoners have escaped from a jail in Arunachal Pradesh using chilli and pepper powder along with salt at the guards.
As reported, five guards of the Pasighat Jail in East Siang district have also been injured during the incident on Sunday evening. The prisoners suddenly attacked the guards by throwing chilli and pepper powder and salt into their eyes when the jail lock up was opened to serve dinner
IGP (Law and Order) Chukhu Apa that one of the guards was hit by a heavy lock and that his mobile too was snatched away by the prisoners.
An FIR has been registered against the prisoners and manhunt launched by the police.
