Arunachal’s War on Drugs

Guwahati, June 09 (NKTV): While Assam has been continuing its War on Drugs, the neighbouring state of Arunachal Pradesh has not been left behind. Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Bamang Felix recently briefed the achievements of Arunachal Pradesh Police on their one month War on drugs.

Felix stated that the key mission of his department is to protect future generations from drug addiction. “Arunachal Police has waged a war on drug menace. 86 FIRs have been registered along with 143 arrests within a month” informed Felix.

It may be mentioned here that 25 police personnel have been arrested while two have been dismissed from the job in the state’s War on Drugs.

Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu had stated that drugs menace is more dangerous than terrorism.
