ASEB SC emerges victorious in Kamrup Metro leg of 70th Bharat Ratna Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy

ASEB Sports Club emerged victorious in the final of the Kamrup Metro District leg of the 70th Bharat Ratna Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy, defeating DBI Sports Club 3-1 in an exciting encounter at the SAI playground, Paltan Bazar in Guwahati on Thursday.

ASEB took an early lead, with Ripu Narzary finding the net in the 11th minute. The advantage was doubled by Ruhit Phukan in the 20th minute, putting DBI SC under pressure. However, DBI managed to pull one back through Romarius Laban in the 31st minute, keeping their hopes alive. The decisive goal came in the 79th minute when Sanswrang Basumatary sealed the victory for ASEB SC.

The match saw two yellow cards, both for DBI SC, with Bihuram Boro booked in the 54th minute and Rahul Kalita in the 64th.

With this triumph, ASEB SC has secured qualification for the Capital Region Cluster, which will be held in Chamata, Nalbari.
