Assam CM asks Police to release detained job aspirants

In view of a recent incident, where 36 youth were detained by Assam Police while they were staging a demonstration in front of Assam Police Headquarters  to demand immediate announcement of the results of the recruitment examination of the constables, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today directed the Assam Police to look into the case sympathetically from humanitarian angle and take steps for their early release.

In a direction to Assam Police, Chief Minister Dr. Sarma asked the Assam Police to look into the case emanating from the detention of the 36 youth aspiring for jobs in Assam Police and deal with it sympathetically and from humanitarian angle to release them expeditiously.

It may be noted that the youths who are reportedly job aspirants of the constable of Assam police were staging demonstration in front of the DGP Office at Ulubari demanding immediate announcements of their results.
