Assam CM rules out immediate possibility of lockdown in state

Amid the rise in cases of Covid-19 in the state of Assam, the chief minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma has ruled out the immediate possibility of lockdown in the state. He however indicated that some restrictions may be imposed to control the spread of the dreaded virus.

Covid-19 cases in the state have risen in rapid numbers which has been a worrisome thing for the state. Assam reported 475 new cases on Tuesday with 196 of them were detected from Kamrup (M) itself.
