Assam registered their first win in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 defeating Gujarat by 7 wickets in Delhi. Winning the toss Gujarat elected to bat first but were bowled out for just 89 runs. Assam’s Mukhtar Hussain took crucial 3 wickets for just 14 runs in his four-over spell.
Meanwhile Pritam Das, Riyan Parag and Rajjakuddin Ahmed also scalped 2 wickets each. For Gujarat, Ripal Patel and Pijush Chawla scored the highest 21 runs.
