Guwahati, July 29 (NKTV): In the cabinet Cabinet meeting held under the Chairmanship of Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on July 28, it was decided that as a part of Government of Assam’s decision to appoint one lakh youths in government jobs, 15,000 vacant posts in Assam Police shall be filled up. The process will start from September 01.
The Cabinet also decided to create five new battalions of Assam Police.
6,270 youths will be appointed in these battalions.
