Guwahati, July 31 (NKTV): Assam’s Covid-19 caseload mounted to 5,65,209 on Friday as 1,179 more people tested positive for the infection while 20 fresh fatalities pushed the death toll to 5,241 the national health mission bulletin said. Kamrup Metro reported the highest number of new cases at 144, followed by 89 in Kamrup Rural, 79 in Golaghat and 74 in Lakhimpur.
The number of active cases in the state is 12,485 Of the 20 fatalities, 3 Death Reported from Barpeta, Jorhat followed Two in , Biswanath, Chirag, Kamrup Rural, Tinsukia and One each from Baksha, Cheraideo, Dibrugarh, Kamrup Rural, Golaghat, Nagaon. Total 5,46,136 COVID-19 Patients have recovered from the infection so far. The Current Death rate is 0.93 per cent and the Number of COVID-19 Positive Patients dying due to other causes is 1,347.
